Proper Apostraphy use
I know that this is actually not a huge problem, but there are a couple of people that will be able to find use with this info. http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/possessives.htm. I found this website that teaches how to properly place an apostraphy and some general rukes to follow.

Thanks for that help with apostraphy use. I found the site most helpful and will have to rember it in writing my next paper.
ReplyDeleteNice! I totally just read up on apostraphy's on Chet's profile. It was cool, but i thought this part was really interesting.
ReplyDeleteMany writers consider it bad form to use apostrophe -s possessives with pieces of furniture and buildings or inanimate objects in general. Instead of "the desk's edge" (according to many authorities), we should write "the edge of the desk" and instead of "the hotel's windows" we should write "the windows of the hotel."
